Happy New Year & Welcome to the New Site!
It's official! It's January 1st of 2010 and The Yaoi Review has moved from LiveJournal to its own domain! Welcome old and new and I hope you enjoy the new look!
To help you get started I'm going to explain a few ways for you to easily stay up-to-date with the new content. If you will look to the right under the "welcome" box you will see three icons, Facebook, RSS Feed and Twitter. The Facebook icon will lead you to the TYR (The Yaoi Review) fan page where the RSS feed automatically posts new content. The second icon is the main RSS feed that will update new content in your web browser's RSS feed area. The last icon is for the TYR twitter account, where I not only post links to new content but also chat with other yaoi fans. Twitter tends to get the latest yaoi news first as it happens so if you're not on Twitter yet, you need to be!
The next way of following along is beneath these icons and it says "subscribe". If you click on that it shows you ways of adding this feed to your Web based feed readers. You can have TYR's feed show in your Google, MSN and Yahoo home pages this way. If you're feeling extra generous, you can click the "Technorati" link, which won't necessarily do anything for you but it helps the site get recognized and found by other yaoi fans.
Speaking of sharing, if you love the new site or know others who should definitely know about it, you can share it with the world by using the "bookmark/share" link. There are 197 different ways of getting the word out! You can share on Facebook, Twitter, LiveJournal, you name it! You can also use this handy link to bookmark the site into your favorites and on great sites like Delicious (LOVE using Delicious for my fav links!).
Last but not least, if you want to comment just click on the comment number at the bottom of the post. Example:
"So far there are 0 comments on this post – join in and add one!"
This will bring you to the comments screen. No need to be a member so everyone can easily join in the conversation!

Is there a way you can hook the site up with Open ID so we can all still use our LJ accounts?

I added the widget to do it but I don’t see a change. Can you tell me if you see it? Now that you commented, it may not show ’cause you should be able to comment now without adding your name and email. Let me know what you see.

Yes, it shows up when you fill out the website info above the comment box (you need to be logged into your LJ for it to work). ^_^
