SITE UPDATE: Site Under Construction Done!

Hey, all! I've decided to make some changes to the site so if things look funky or something's not working, give it a few days. I'll post when the site is complete so if something is still not working, you can comment on the post at that time. Thanks and I hope you like the new changes!

EDIT: I've made the majority of the changes, including a new theme. I may still tweek a few things here and there but I think we're good for now. What do you think?

Thanks for the recommendation. It was a tough choice but I finally went with this one. It didn’t have as many bells and whistles as the first one you recommended but after previewing them all, this one was just too pretty to pass up. I’m just happy it works and wow, it’s so much easier to work with than my original theme. ;_; I’m looking at adding some additional plugins and my last theme wouldn’t work with anything in the sidebar if it wasn’t at the bottom. So happy! ^_^

Oh, choosing is always so hard… but I think you made the best choice! =D

I’m glad it’s easier to deal with, I have the same feelings about my new theme in relation with the older one. ^^

Oh, I like how you did your homepage during the ‘construction’! I love the countdown clock. See, that’s the stuff I just have no idea how to do. >_<

It’s a plugin a webdesigner friend recommended, called CJ coming soon. You can pretty much use it as is (it looks nice) or you can customize it’s visuals, texts and elements.

I’m usually afraid of such plugins but it’s working very well so far.

Looks good, but I’m worried that it’s a little *too* easy to “share” photos from the site. When I went to double-click the Est Em photo to enlarge it, I didn’t automatically get the enlarged image and I saw the “share” sub-banner pop up. I was worried I’d accidentally shared it somewhere. Would it be possible to leave the share function off the images?

Even if you click it, it doesn’t share until you pick where you want to share it (like twitter, facebook, etc) and even then it’s not automatic. You then have to send the tweet or send the link on Facebook. It would literally take three very specific clicks to send it anywhere. No way to accidentally share.

Oh, and to enlarge, just click anywhere above the ‘click to share’ bar that appears and the picture will enlarge itself.

Well, in the future it should load even faster. I have the caching turned off temporarily while I’m making changes. I’m slowly learning how to speed this damn site up. And thanks! I’m almost embarrassed when I think about the old site. XD
