YAOI NEWS: Viewfinder V3 Hits #4 on NYT Manga Best Seller List!

Wow, I can't believe it yet I can! Ayano Yamane's Finder 3: One Wing in the Viewfinder has hit #4 on the New York Time's best selling manga list for the week ending April 16th! Here's the entire top 10 list:

EDIT: The Arts Beat over at the New York Times specifically mentions Viewfinder out of all of the manga above!

"Over on the manga list, at No. 4, there is “Finder,” Vol. 3, an example of yaoi (boy love) manga, which is about a twisted romance between a photographer and an underworld tough."

HA! Poor Asami is an 'underworld tough'. I love it! Congratulations, Sensei!

Yessss !!
I’ve been waiting for a BL volume to make it to the top 10.
Thought Tyrant vol 1 might make it, but no luck there.
I would bet money that every volume of Finder released from now on makes it to the top 10.

Volume 6 in Japanese sold out immediately, both editions. Yaoi Club got their hands on a few copies and they sold out immediately. I didn’t want to risk waiting so I picked up mine from eBay, both editions. So worth the cost. ^_^ I can’t wait to see how the first volume we get in English that was never published here before does (volume 4). That will be new for all of us. I guess it will depend on what else comes out that week.

A couple of volumes of Junjo Romantica have made it; #10 in 2009 and #12 in 2010. So one per year; maybe there’s a quota?

Ha that is AWESOME, I just bought all three volumes from Amazon and I’ve re-read them a few..dozen times I’m sure XD.

Doesn’t seem so obscure now does it?
