I need to say this, because it’s been on my mind all day.
Yes, Amazon did bookblock on the Kindle. Yes, it’s upsetting. It’s detrimental to an already struggling industry, and a niche in said industry, at that.
However, the Kindle still boasts more yaoi titles than the Nook, and that’s just searching for the term Yaoi. When you search Manga, even more yaoi pops up. I went through the entire list. I saw the offered titles. I was pleasantly surprised by them. I even bought a few!
When a person fails you, you don’t write off that person… you help them become a better person. The Amazon Kindle is the same thing. If you write it off, it won’t ever improve! But if you devote a little extra time into letting Amazon know where it has wronged, eventually it will pay off down the line.
I love yaoi. I have an entire book case stuffed with the stuff. I own duplicates of my favorite works, even! But I love my Kindle, too. It’s better than the Nook, has great customer support, and is really too small to read yaoi manga on anyway. Unless… you’re only looking at the naughty pictures… hehehe.
This is a hiccup in an otherwise decent product. We all have hiccups from time to time, right? We yaoi fans hate it when we feel discriminated against, and some of us Kindle fans hate it, too.

If this was the first time they did this and they actually explained themselves, I wouldn’t write it off but they already had the infamous #AmazonFail of two years ago. Many of us already gave them a second chance. As I said above, it’s not for me to say what you can or cannot read. I’m going to do everything I can to show Amazon and KINDLE that those of us not happy with the second #AmazonFail are serious. I have a KINDLE myself and this doesn’t make my life any easier. As you’ve seen in my other post, I first asked people to write to KINDLE. They responded with boiler plate responses to everyone. I wrote another post for those of us not wanting to deal with it to know where else they can get their digital needs met, which is our right to do as individuals. I’m also writing another wrap-up post that is going to show just how bad the situation really is. I don’t think this is just a hiccup but that is my personal opinion. If you still want to hold out hope, you certainly can and I will fully support your right to do so. It’s every person’s choice and I will never fault any one person for what they choose. I thank you for stating your feelings on the matter and I really do hope KINDLE and Amazon get their shit together for all of our sakes. We just need to stop putting all of our eggs in one basket, fans and yaoi publishers alike. My goal is to see just as many titles on the NOOK as there are on the KINDLE so we can choose where we want to go as customers.

Yeah, they’re releasing a lot of oldies but goodies. Problem is, I can’t tell where the parts leave off on some of these. I have Play Boy Blues and at first I thought they were selling something I didn’t have. Ended up having to return it. I wish the descriptions were a little more clear.

I would really like to buy Boku No Koe, but I’m really struggling with the 2.99 per chapter. With 10 parts out that’s already $30 /indecisive
The one I regret not buying is Kiss Ariki, but they already removed episode 2
It’s probably not even lendable anymore.
PS. I also got a boiler plate response when I complained to Amazon. Then they directed me to the romance section lmao
