YAOI NEWS: Sekai-ichi Hatsukoi S2 Airs October!
A couple days ago ANN confirmed that the second season of Sekai-ichi Hatsukoi has been green lit and now the Sekai-ichi Hatsukoi LiveJournal Community has posted an image of the below ad confirming season two is to start airing this October. However, at the time of this post the website for the series had not been updated to confirm this information.
It appears Sekai-ichi Hatsukoi is following in the same footsteps as Junjo Romantica, which had a very similar airing schedule and time between seasons. If you are unfamiliar with Sekai-ichi Hatsukoi, season one aired in Japan in April of this year and was simulcast by Crunchyroll. You can catch the entire season one on Crunchyroll here.
If anyone wants to provide a complete English translation, feel free to post it below in comments and I will add it to this post with proper credit.
Thanks to @thisfangirlsays for pointing out the Sekai-ichi Hatsukoi LiveJournal Community where this was posted, and to @MagicalEmi for confirming the translation!

Episodes 1 through 4 are available now on their YouTube channel for the US, Canada, UK, Ireland, Australia and New Zealand. An additional two episodes will be available each week thereafter until episode 12. Keep in mind that these episodes are available for a limited time so go watch them now.

YAOI ANIME: Sekai-ichi Hatsukoi Now Airing!
Sekai-ichi Hatsukoi is now airing in Japan and Crunchyroll has started its simulcast today for premium members. Those without a Crunchyroll membership can see it air on April 15th. I just finished watching episode one and I'm already hooked. Started a little slow and then bam!.. laughing out loud. It definitely looks just like Junjo including the characters and there's even a 'guest' appearance by a Junjo character but only in the background. People have said Sekai-ichi Hatsukoi is a little more realistic in comparison and although it's only episode one, I can already see some of that shining through. I still love Junjo so it's going to take a lot to win me over but this episode was a good start.

Awesome news for yaoi fans! Crunchyroll has announced that they will be simulcasting Sekai-ichi Hatsukoi after it starts to air in Japan, which is April 8th. They have not released any details regarding how soon after but I would imagine about a week. What do you think? Anyway, the simulcast will be available for the following countries/regions: North America, South America, United Kingdom, Ireland, Finland, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Iceland, Netherlands, Portugal, Middle East, Africa, Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, and Indonesia. Here's the official Sekai-ichi Facebook page, which is mostly in English.

YAOI ANIME: Sekai-ichi Hatsukoi Trailer Subtitled
Since the AMV I posted a few days ago was pulled from YouTube for copyright reasons, I thought I'd post the subtitled trailer for the upcoming TV anime (not to be confused with the recently released OVA). Watch it while you can!

Oooooo-we already have our guest for Yaoi Con! Whoooo! But can't say yet. HA!
Any guesses? If not, who do you WISH it was? Of course, it would have to be a mangaka they have or will be publishing. Continue reading »
