Worldwide Yaoi Convention Updates
Here are some updates regarding the various yaoi conventions around the world!
"Previously known as Yaoifest, AniFet is our new name as we expand our horizons to include all the great things we love about conventions, but can't find there! Join us as we celebrate Yaoi, Yuri, Hentai, Bishonen, Bishojou, Furry, Anthro and more alternative fandoms!" This year's AniFET convention takes place in a few days from July 4th to July 7th in Calgary, Alberta Canada. July 4th and 5th are for all ages 16+ and July 6th and 7th are for all ages 18+. Bishie Con Announces Bishie Con Cabaret 2011!
"Bishie Con 2010 was such an amazing event that we just couldn't go through with our plan to stop having Bishie Con after this year. Though we do not have the time resources to host an entire Bishie Con in 2011, we will be offering an event for yaoi and slash fans ages 18 and up. Bishie Con Cabaret will be a 12-hour event on a Saturday in mid-December. Starting at 3:00 in the afternoon, Bishie Con Cabaret will have stage events (karaoke, improv, game shows, etc.), limited panel programming, and a vendor room open into the night. We will hold the event in a hotel and serve snacks throughout it just like we did at Bishie Con the past two years. More information on the date and location are coming soon! We hope you will grace us with your presence at this Bishie Con event!"
This year's YaoiCon in San Francisco is two weekends before Halloween, October 21st through the 23rd. It is strictly an 18+ convention. This year's guest of honor is Fusanosuke Inariya of Maiden Rose fame. Updates are coming fast and furious so check out the official site for AMV contest theme, bishie auction, advertising, scheduling a panel, etc. See you there!

We're pleased to tell you that YaYCon will be held en Enschede's Atak on March 27th! The ticket sale has already started online, for the price of €15,-. But be quick; after the first 200 tickets are sold, the price will incease to €17,50! So get yout tickets at the Atak website

Ask Hinako Takanaga a Question!
How would you like the opportunity to ask your favorite mangaka a question? Well, if that mangaka is Hinako Takanaga of Tyrant and Little Butterfly fame, now you can! DMP has been gracious enough to give me the opportunity to interview Ms. Takanaga at YaoiCon this Saturday and I thought what better interview than an interview of fan submitted questions? All you have to do is submit your question in the comment section below and I will pick a choice few to ask Sensei during the interview. I'll of course interject here and there with follow up questions to keep it coherent. 
Time is limited! I need to organize my questions Friday night so hurry and good luck!

Unless you've been under a rock all day you've probably heard that YaoiCon announced their guest for the 2010 convention and it's Ayano Yamane (excuse me while I go change my pants). I'm going to allow this once and only once 'cause you all know how I feel about squeeing. Ready? One… two…. three…. SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! *runs around like a crazy woman, slams into wall* Ow. >.< Well, I'm glad THAT'S out of my system…. NOT!!! XD Here's the info from YaoiCon as well as some personal info on her. Oh, and if you're wondering how you'll find me at YaoiCon, I'll be the one madly humping her leg at the autograph session. ^_^

I checked YaoiFest's website and don't see any details there but maybe I'm not looking in the correct place. This is not the actual convention, which takes place June 26-27, 2010 in Calgary, AB.
